We’re thrilled you’re planning to visit the LBJ Presidential Library & Museum, where you can experience Austin from a President’s view. Walk-up tickets are encouraged and always available, and advance tickets are also available for purchase below.

Admission Fees

  • Seniors (62+)* $12
  • Former/Retired Military* $8
  • K-12 Teacher* $8

  • Youth (13-18) $6
  • Child (under 12) Free

* Must show valid ID.

Tuesday Admission is half off all tickets! 

The following visitors receive free entry every day and do not need to reserve in advance. However, a valid ID must be presented upon arrival:

  • NARA Presidential Library staff and members
  • UT faculty, staff, and students
  • Active duty military personnel and up to 5 family members
  • Visitors named Lyndon or Claudia
  • Museums for All participants - SNAP, WIC, MAP

Visitor Information

  • The LBJ Library is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
  • Please allow for 2-4 hours to enjoy the full museum.
  • All bags will be inspected upon arrival at the Library.
    • Large bags and backpacks must be left at bag check.
    • Small bags may be worn at your front or carried in your hand while in the galleries.
    • The Library holds zero liability for items left in the bag check area. Please leave items at your own risk.

Located directly off Red River Street, look for brightly colored LBJ and Lady Bird banners at the lot entrance.
